I was getting overwhelmed by the number of quote call backs and texted some with the coverage. I texted Chad to let him know what I was looking for and let him know that I did not want to talk on the phone anymore that day, he was patient, gracious, understanding and emailed me a quote immediately! "I’m writing this in hopes of resolving issues with State Farm before getting lawyers involved. We had an accidental flood caused by my special needs 5 year old. I immediately called my agent who was great, I told him I had no idea what to do he said no problem and texted me who to call for cleanup and repairs, I was told this is who State Farm likes to use locally this is who their office likes to work with, and was given phone number and names of who they work with. Seeing as they were my insurance company and the professionals I did what they said and got ahold of said company. They came in promptly and began the cleanup. We were told by all parties involved, both State Farm and the company doing the work that everything was covered under my policy to get the house back to where it was before the accident. From early on we had issues with State Farm paying the company to do the work which really stalled the process, eventually they would send out checks to keep the work going. Numerous times through the 6-7 months I brought up to the adjuster that the numbers didn’t match and that I was worried State Farm wasn’t going to pay enough to cover the work and each time I was told not to worry there was more money that the initial checks were just to get them started and everything was fine. The final bill was submitted to State Farm in December, and they sent a fraction of it and said that was all they were paying, they owe a substantial amount of money to the company they told me to hire to do the work, which that company was great no issues there, and now they say they won’t pay anymore. How can you tell a customer/client use these people it’s who we like to work with and then turn around and when the job is all done after telling your client everything is good even after your client raised concerns multiple times, now you won’t pay them. And then give your client the run around, the whole process everyone kept saying we’re here to help call if you need anything. Every time we would call expressing these concerns, we were given the runaround and told to call the 1-800 number. Mind you during this whole process we were staying with my parents because my special-needs son needed to stay in the area to catch his bus to his programs. We were told we were supposed to receive ALE for a rental and money for groceries and other things, according to our policy they would pay for a rental comparable to our house which in our area would be quite expensive we received a fraction of that and nothing else, which is besides the point at this juncture I would just like State Farm to pay the remaining balance of work done that under my policy is supposed to be covered to a company that they told me to go with. I have nothing against this State Farm location they were nice and the company that did the repairs were great. At the end of the day I just want them to do what they promised and pay the workers what they are owed they were good people and they did a job that State Farm said would be paid for and now they are not honoring that."
